When I was in Tunisia, I spent several days camel-trekking in the Sahara. Mostly it was just sand, but occasionally we'd come across some palm trees, like these ones. In the evenings we'd sit around a campfire--while scorpions came to investigate--and at night we slept out under the stars. It was fabulous!
