Drawing is not something I can do well, but here's a sketch map showing the places that feature in the book. I used it to keep track of what the characters were doing where. It's pretty basic!

hief With No Shadow is a fantasy--with sheep. But despite the fact that I live in a country where there are millions more sheep than people, I don't actually know much about sheep. So, before sending the manuscript to my editor, I gave it to one of my bosses (an ex-shearer) to check. Which he very kindly did.

I arrived at work the following Monday to find the manuscript on my desk, with an envelope. On the envelope were the following words:
